Fascia is the trim placed along the edge of your roof. Its primary function is to shield the exposed gap created by the roofing rafters. Without fascia boards, water, pests, and animals could enter your roof and attic. Because this wood is vulnerable to water damage from moisture seeping behind the gutters, it should be covered and safeguarded with a fascia trim.

Fascia, also referred to as Fascia Wrap or Fascia Trim, serves as a protective covering for your fascia board, shielding it from weather exposure. Installing aluminum fascia trim prevents water from coming into contact with the fascia board, significantly extending its lifespan—often two to three times longer than untreated fascia. Since fascia boards are vulnerable to water damage and gradually degrade, untreated boards can eventually become so weakened that gutters may detach from the home. To safeguard and extend the durability of your fascia board, it can be wrapped with aluminum or vinyl materials. This barrier effectively keeps moisture away from the wood, ensuring its longevity for many years.
